It’s finally summer time and so far it’s been great
Yesterday afternoon I went to the graduation for the class of 2010 and it was excellent
Hearing everything that TSA students have accomplished was so inspiring From spending 5 months in Ladakh to traveling across Spain by horse back
I’ve realized that I need to do something with my life, to make and impact in some way even if it only helps a few people
I also already started to write my speech for my graduation even though it’s still a year away, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it through without crying though, it was such an emotional day
In my three years at TSA I’ve always found that my class is not as connected as the other classes, it’s not that we don’t all like each other but we seem to be separated into different groups rather than all together like the other classes so now that we are SENIORS we have made it our goal to become a more connected class.
After graduation almost our entire class went to the drive in together. We saw Alice in Wonderland and the beginning of The Last Song and even though both movies were horrible it was the best night I’ve had in a while.
With 10 of us lying on top of each other in the bed of Jenn’s truck and the rest sitting on top of Hudson’s suburban in the entire seat that he took out of the car and put on the roof top I’ve never felt closer with my class.
After the movies when we all met back up in the Park and Ride and while Hudson blasted his 12 year old sisters mix in his car we all danced in the middle of the street for about a half an hour at 1 in the morning. At one point a car stopped and stared at us for like 5 minuted that drove to the gas station at the corner. A while later it was headed back in our direction and we thought he was going to stop and yell at us so a ton of people hopped in Hudson’s car to escape and I’m pretty sure I dove over about 5 people to get into that car.
I’ve never loved my class as much as I did last night. I can’t wait until we all go camping together at the end of the summer.
In the mean time I leave to spend 6 weeks at RISD in just 12 days so that should be fun.
I can’t wait for Senior year, it will be amazing!
