I haven’t taken any good pictures in a while so I was really happy when this one came out good…more on my other tumbler (amandacoviello.tumblr.com)

It’s finally summer time and so far it’s been great
Yesterday afternoon I went to the graduation for the class of 2010 and it was excellent
Hearing everything that TSA students have accomplished was so inspiring       From spending 5 months in Ladakh to traveling across Spain by horse back
I’ve realized that I need to do something with my life, to make and impact in some way even if it only helps a few people
I also already started to write my speech for my graduation even though it’s still a year away, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it through without crying though, it was such an emotional day
In my three years at TSA I’ve always found that my class is not as connected as the other classes, it’s not that we don’t all like each other but we seem to be separated into different groups rather than all together like the other classes so now that we are SENIORS we have made it our goal to become a more connected class.
After graduation almost our entire class went to the drive in together. We saw Alice in Wonderland and the beginning of The Last Song and even though both movies were horrible it was the best night I’ve had in a while.
With 10 of us lying on top of each other in the bed of Jenn’s truck and the rest sitting on top of Hudson’s suburban in the entire seat that he took out of the car and put on the roof top I’ve never felt closer with my class.
After the movies when we all met back up in the Park and Ride and while Hudson blasted his 12 year old sisters mix in his car we all danced in the middle of the street for about a half an hour at 1 in the morning. At one point a car stopped and stared at us for like 5 minuted that drove to the gas station at the corner. A while later it was headed back in our direction and we thought he was going to stop and yell at us so a ton of people hopped in Hudson’s car to escape and I’m pretty sure I dove over about 5 people to get into that car.
I’ve never loved my class as much as I did last night. I can’t wait until we all go camping together at the end of the summer.
In the mean time I leave to spend 6 weeks at RISD in just 12 days so that should be fun.
I can’t wait for Senior year, it will be amazing!

Obsession of the Week: Shel Silverstein
I grew up on “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and “The Missing Piece Meets the Big O” so when I found out (during this past Johnny Cash obsession week) that Shel Silverstein helped in writing “A Boy Named Sue” I remembered how much I love the guy. His poems and songs are just so great and cute for any age with their timeless stories. I will try and post some of my favorite poems throughout the rest of the week”

lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be.

Obsession of the Week: Johnny Cash
So today a friend of mine was wearing a Folsom State Prison t-shirt and I remembered how much I love Johnny Cash. I guess I don’t really have an explanation for why I love his songs but I definitely will be listening to him a lot this week as he reenters my life. My favorite songs are the ones written based on prisoners like my favorite cocaine blues as well as a boy named sue and Folsom Prison Blues. great stuff.

Obsession of the Week: She & Him/Zooey Deschanel

She & Him is a band made up of Zooey Deschanel who is one of my all time favorite actresses/singers (also my girl crush) and M. Ward. All of there songs are really great and have kind of an old time feel to them that can’t help but make you happy. Zooey has such an amazing and unique voice and as she is so gorgeous in the most simple way. Her personality and style the feeling of the music.

Obsession of the Week: John Krasinski
I’ve had a lot of free time lately seeing as how I just had three snow days in a row (and no make-up days — thank you Michael Livingston). So anyway with all of this free time I decided it was time to watch some better old episodes of the Office. Now I would say that my obsession of the week is The Office itself but the truth is The Office would be nothing without the adorable John Krasinski. Gotta love this man.
